This gallery of sculptures was made during the month of January in Avila Beach, CA.  It has been a warm, dry January and the people are loving it.  The sand is still rocky from the December storms that pushed in shells and stripped the soft sand.  The larger the grit the more difficult the sculpt and the less detail attempted.  These sculpts were given a more cartoonish look to avoid such difficult details.
